William Morris Arts & Crafts SocksTextile designer William Morris was a leading name in the British Arts and Crafts Movement of the mid-19th century. His high-minded, nature-inspired designs helped revive textile arts in the UK, making this three-pack gift set a thematically appropriate addition to an art lover’s sock drawer.  Egyptian Coffin Tea TowelThis stunning tea towel showcases details from Khnumnakht’s spectacularly painted coffin, created in Egypt’s Middle Kingdom. Relatively little is known about Khnumnakht (ca. 1850–1750 BCE), but his remarkable coffin is embellished with rich text and decorative panels, making it a standout artifact from the time period.  “Song of the Towers” Enamel PinPainted in 1934 as part of a WPA program, Aaron Douglas’s “Song of the Towers” belongs to a series of four murals reflecting on the African American experience. The final panel, represented on this pin, references the impact of the Great Migration through its depiction of a saxophone-bearing traveler’s arrival in New York City.  Piet Mondrian “New York City 3” Recycled Tote BagAnother 20th-century artist influenced by NYC was Piet Mondrian, whose iconic artworks essentializing form and color helped define the De Stijl movement.
